Panoramic Leith is easily reachable in minutes from the Edinburgh city centre, thanks to our high tech tram network having only very recently been extended, all the way to Newhaven. That means that where you finish your private, guided tour is also perfect for your journey back into the heart of Edinburgh, with the Newhaven tram terminus just two minutes walk away!
The Shore - the heart of Leith's waterfront area. This bustling area is lined with charming buildings, restaurants, and pubs. We will take time to admire and learn about the views of the Water of Leith, plus the historic buildings and locations around you.

You will also learn of a Leith born man who served as a senior officer on a ship which formed part of a fleet that sailed into Botany Bay to establish a convict colony in 1788!
You will also hear of Leith's now highly controversial involvement in an industry long departed from the docks of Leith. Also, of its direct involvement with one of the most famous expeditions in Scottish history.
Upon the section of your adventure which includes a walk along the docks of Leith, you will learn of Leith's early shipping trade.
You will also see a unique, modern and boutique floating luxury hotel.
Ocean Terminal - Here you will find the Royal Yacht Britannia, once the floating palace of our late Queen, Elizabeth II. Learn the background story to this floating majesty. You will also enjoy panoramic views of the docks of Leith. The location of these views also offers perfect respite should the weather turn for the worse!
Newhaven - at Newhaven we will explore a street time forgot. You will hear of a life long since departed the area.
Newhaven Harbour - your experience will end here. At this location you will learn of how it was once a Royal naval dockyard, and the birthplace of one of the most famous ships the Scottish navy ever produced. You will also hear of the Newhaven witch!
Newhaven harbour is also a perfect location for eateries immediately nearby, including arguably the best fish and chip shops in the whole of Edinburgh.

You can cancel or reschedule your tour booking. This must be at least 12 hours before your booking starts for Ghosts and Horrors Tours and at least 24 hours before your booking starts for Edinburgh Castle Tours.

In the event of cancellation we will retain £15.00 as a booking fee, the balance will be refunded to you using the same method used for the booking, refunds can take a few days to show up in your account.

In the event of rescheduling, you will be offered a choice from available times.

You will be sent an email confirming either your cancellation or your new booking.
